Originating from Penang, Mr. Chin and his wife, Teoh Gim See, embarked on their culinary adventure, bringing the vibrant flavors of Malaysia to life. In 2005, we relocated to Subang Jaya, where our passion for food continued to flourish. Among our most popular dishes are Char Kway Teow, Fried Laksa, and Curry Laksa. Our Fried Laksa is a true original—thick laksa noodles tossed in a fragrant spice
paste of ginger, onion, tamarind, lemongrass, and chili, garnished with onion, pineapple, and mint. Chin's wife, Teoh Gim See, this dish is a unique twist on traditional laksa and is probably not available anywhere else in the world. Our Malaysian Char Kway Teow is another crowd favorite - a savory and flavorful dish featuring flat wide rice noodles stir-fried in a soy sauce, beansprouts, chives, garlic, and egg. Over the years, our dedication to authentic Malaysian cuisine has earned us recognition far and wide. We were honored to be finalists in the Time Out Kuala Lumpur Food Awards 2015 for Best Char Kway Teow and were featured in Time Out Kuala Lumpur Magazine's "101 Things to do in Kuala Lumpur" for our Fried Laksa in April 2013. Now, we are excited to bring our culinary passion to Melbourne, Australia. Our new restaurant, Hungry Lah, located in Coburg North, is a continuation of our journey - a celebration of the rich flavors of Malaysian cuisine that we've cherished for decades. Join us at Hungry Lah and experience a taste of Malaysia, where every dish is crafted with love, tradition, and a touch of home.
