Over the past month we have been doing some really cool catering for The University of Sydney's Livestock team at their 7500 hectare farm in Brayden NSW

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner served to year 1 vet students plus staff and 3 overnight stays

We were so happy to be able to assist with this and feed the crew after their long days learning sheep skills.

Roast dinners with veges, potato bakes and pasta dishes plus dessert

Big breakfasts with cereal, bacon, eggs, mushies, sausages and toast

Mixed sandwiches, juice and snacks

At Cafe Macarthur, we’re incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown us over the years. Whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee, meeting friends for lunch, or grabbing a quick bite on the go, we’re proud to be part of your day.

Like many small businesses, we’ve recently experienced significant increases in the cost of doing business. Rising supplier prices, fuel and freight levies, award wage increases, and higher packaging and consumable costs have all contributed to increased operating expenses.

To help us continue providing the quality food and service you’ve come to expect, we will be making a small adjustment to the prices of some of our food menu items, effective Monday, 12 October 2026.

The good news is that our hot drink prices will remain unchanged. We know how important that daily coffee is, and we’ve made a conscious decision to keep our coffee and hot beverage prices where they are despite the rising costs affecting our business.

We’ve done our best to absorb these increases for as long as possible, and this decision has not been made lightly. Our priority remains the same: serving fresh, quality food, great coffee and friendly service in a welcoming environment.

Thank you for your understanding, your loyalty and your ongoing support of our local business. It truly means the world to us and enables us to continue doing what we love every day.

Cafe Macarthur will be closed over the school holidays from 6th to 17th July.

We will reopen on Monday 20 July with reduced trading hours:
20th - 24th July, 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM

During this week, we’ll be serving coffee and light snacks only.

Normal trading hours will resume from 27th July.

Have you ever wondered what to do with the crusts of your Raisin Bread 🍞 or any bread for that matter

Here's an idea for you that we made yesterday

French Raisin Toast

Whisk together a couple of eggs with some milk

Add some cinnamon sugar and a little vanilla essence

Dip your bread in the mixture (just quickly)

Pan fry in some butter (you can pour a little bit of the egg mix in as well if you like)

Fry until golden

Add maple syrup, powdered sugar and fruit and you have yourself a scrumptious little brunch/dessert
