This pic is so bitter sweet...
Bitter because how does a 39yr old woman end up needing a scooter to get around???
Sweet because I "get" to use a scooter to get around.
Bitter because it took a lot for me to let go of my ego to accept that this is my reality today at Disneyland. (Notice I say today. Because this is "just for now.")
Sweet because it supported me to have an enjoyable day with my family and not have to miss out.
I don't look like the type of person who needs to use a mobility scooter but the sad fact is that I do & I'm not the only one. I've seen other young people (majority are women) of all shapes & sizes using them today & each time I pass them I can't help but wonder "why?"
Is anyone else questioning the "health" of our world these days?
Anyway, I've had an amazing day despite these questions I have & I truly am grateful for this device to allow me this experience with my family.
I just hope none of my loved ones have to go through the challenges I have to get here today. 🧡🙏🏻🩷
