My beautiful IV nurse Mel from THRIVE Sunshine Coast who supported me through my stage 4 cancer journey would always tell me this message whenever I was getting caught up in the "what ifs" of any big decisions I needed to make.
That message is continuing to support me in my recovery from cancer and a complete hip replacement, partial pelvis reconstruction and supportive spinal surgery.
The surgeons very kindly wrote this letter for my GP to use to access supports for me which I am very grateful for. (I haven't received anything as of yet though as I may not be eligible for anything.)
But, I don't take these predictions as gospel and believe that I will not improve anymore. Just the way I never believed that I couldn't heal from cancer. It's a journey that will continue until my last breath on earth just like everyone else.
Life is a journey filled with ups and downs and this moment in time is "Just For Now."
