Melbourne Cup Day at Bentleys 🏇

Round up the crew, find something worthy of Best Dressed and settle in for Melbourne Cup Day in the heart of Clare.

We’ll have all the action from Flemington live on the big screens, with plenty happening around the table too:

Our Friday night jackpot has found another worthy winner. 🍻

Last Friday we had David “Lloydy” Lloyd from Variety Queensland drop into Bentleys while in Clare as part of the survey team mapping out the upcoming 2026 Variety 4WD Adventure.

And wouldn't you know it... Lloydy went and won our $600 major jackpot.

His response? Donate the whole lot straight back to Variety. 👏

He didn’t leave completely empty-handed though - he also managed to snaffle our mystery box prize!

For those who love getting off the bitumen, the Variety 4WD Adventure is a little different to the famous Variety Bash. There are no classic-car requirements - it’s an off-road adventure open to a much broader range of vehicles, with the main requirement being a 4WD with low range.

And this year it all starts right here in the Clare Valley on 3 November, before heading through the Flinders Ranges and outback country to finish in Cobar, NSW on 13 November.

We’re joining in on the annual Festival of Lamb this weekend... and would you look at that, it lines up perfectly with our Sunday Carvery. 🐑

🎶 Lucky for us… we’ve managed to nab Joe Amputch again! 🎶

With the busy season ramping up for Joe in Adelaide, we’re pretty pleased he’s found another Saturday night in the diary for a trip back to Clare.

We’re seeing out our September Sounds with the smooth sounds and soulful tunes of Joe Amputch, live at Bentleys from 8pm Saturday 26 September.
