POV: You’ve made 4,000 macarons this week and someone asks…

“So, are these actually made here?” 😂

Nope. We just keep Sasha hidden in the back piping thousands of shells for fun. 👀

Every macaron is made right here by our team, from mixing the batter to pairing the shells baking and filling them.

It might look effortless in the cabinet, but there’s a whole lot of early mornings, sticky benches and coffee behind every single one. ☕💕

🎉 Happy Birthday, Hamish! 🎉

Your mum and dad told me you’re not really one for making a fuss about your birthday…

Which naturally meant I had no choice but to make a public post about it. 😝

Hamish is one of our regulars, popping in a couple of times a week and keeping the Snickers cubes section well supported. So when his parents came to us and asked for a birthday cake, I already knew exactly what needed to happen.

A giant Snickers mousse cake.

Peanut butter mousse. Gooey caramel. Brownie base. Coated in chocolate and peanuts.

Basically, everything Hamish loves, just supersized.

We absolutely love being part of these special moments and creating cakes for people who support our little business year after year.

Happy Birthday, legend. We hope your day is as good as that first bite of a Snickers cube. 🍫🥜🎂

Tonight we were just looking for chips and gravy… and ended up finding something way better.

With about 10 minutes to spare before they closed, we stumbled across a little takeaway shop in O’Sullivan Beach and made it there just in time.

We’re so glad we did.

From the moment we walked in, the owner was incredibly welcoming and even took the time to chat with us while we waited. There’s so much going on in this small tucked away shop that we couldn’t help but ask questions.

Then we noticed they have a pay it forward system, which we had to contribute to. After that, we saw they offer 10% off for pension and student card holders, such a simple but thoughtful touch.

At that point, I honestly didn’t even care if the food was good… it already felt like such a humble, community focused place.

But then the chips and gravy came out… and they absolutely hit the spot. My friends’ meals were also spot on.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, they’ve got a help yourself seasoning and sauce bar… including real malt vinegar. 🤯

This is what local takeaway should feel like.

Come and spend a day with us at the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market

While most people are enjoying a slow start to their Sunday, we’re setting up fridges, stocking shelves, folding boxes, serving customers, and sharing thousands of macarons with market goers from all over Adelaide.

From the early morning setup to the busy rush and everything in between, this is a little glimpse into what market day looks like from our side of the counter.

It’s early starts, organised chaos, plenty of laughs, and one of our favourite ways to spend a Sunday.

A couple of days ago, I said I had a feeling it was going to be a big weekend… and wow, was my instincts right!😳

We made extra macaron stock, and prepared for a busy few days, but I definitely didn’t think it was going to be this big!

Thank you to everyone who came in, ordered treats, grabbed macarons, cakes, cupcakes, and supported our little business this weekend. We truly appreciate every single one of you. ❤️

Now, if anyone needs me, I’ll be over here washing what feels like 47,000 containers. 😂🧼

The good news is we’re still here until 8pm tonight and, despite the weekend rush, we still have some pretty amazing flavours available if you’re chasing a sweet treat!

Can’t make it in tonight? We’ll also be at the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers’ Market tomorrow from 8:30am–12:30pm with plenty of macarons in tow. 🙌

A good problem to have, but my dishwasher might disagree! 😂

When your little baker has to join you in the kitchen for the morning while you’re running around like a mad woman trying to get all the orders finished by 10am… 😂

“Mum, can I use these spare cupcakes?”

“Mum, can I use this leftover icing?”

“Hey Mum, do you have any sprinkles?”

Meanwhile, I’m trying to remember what day it is and whether I’ve packed all the orders. 🤦‍♀️

Fast forward an hour and apparently I’ve got some competition. 👑🧁

Not going to lie, she did a pretty good job with her princess cakes!

Now taking orders for princess cakes… just kidding. Or am I? 😂

One of the best parts of owning a family business is getting to share these little moments, even on the crazy days.

Who thinks we should add her to the payroll? 💕
