// THE END //
It is with a heavy heart to announce that BAMBAM will be closed indefinitely. Whilst the future landscape remains uncertain for hospitality, BAMBAM in its current form & location is no longer tenable.
Through very teary eyes I will attempt to thank, knowing it to be impossible to even remotely come close to thanking the sheer number of humans that have contributed to BAMBAM with their unconditional love and support. F**k using the words staff, customers and suppliers, they downplay the connection. So to the humans who have become more than family to me, who have supported myself and BAMBAM through the good and spicy times, the relationships shared between us are fu***ng real and permanent. To my homies working in the same game, your input behind the scenes without mention is something that will be cherished forever.
I won’t roll the tape on the struggles that hospo has faced since 2020, but one can’t ignore it being brought to its knees. The effect the last year has had on the mental health of humans in the industry let alone society by and large, has been gut wrenching to helplessly watch. Watching creative souls and their life’s work being ravaged through no fault of their own is just fu**ed up.
It would be remiss of me to mention that BAMBAM was truly a personal dream that realised its every potential. It feels vulnerable to share that I rarely knew what I was actually doing most of the time and the business plan from day one had one word written on the back of an envelope - minimal. Whilst BAMBAM developed into its current ideation, it was always a homage to being minimal. Everything minimal, always. Minimal in design, minimal in environmental footprint and minimal in the sense of cutting through the noise of mediocrity. There’s enough s**t out there being regurgitated by the unimaginative that carving your own lane and going all-in on your passion is the only honest avenue. Not every boy dreams of having a vegan restaurant that sells falafels, plays disco & house during the day and then pours natural wine with techno at night, but this boy eventually got to see his dream come true.
Not forever, but bye for now.
With love,
Evan x
