My name is Toula and I have grown up in Melbourne within a strong dynamic Greek Culture. I think I started when I was around 6, always wanting to stir something. By the time I was in my teens, I was experimenting with the family dinner....many times not very successfully. The patience and encouragement I received from my family then, parallels to the encouragement and belief I have from my own chi
ldren and husband now. Without their constant support and love, I wouldn't be where I am. A little bit about my qualifications will explain how I fell into the culinary pool I currently wade in. I started Sassy Cakes off as a Hobby after making some glittery cupcakes and cookies for my youngest daughter’s birthday. As I have a strong Art & Design background I found it easy to form and create. There was a lot I learnt along the way, picking up short courses and tutorials whenever I could. This was not enough to satisfy me, so I enrolled myself into a Patisserie course because I needed some more confidence. I am now a qualified Pastry Chef. I have a deep love for what I do, so the things I make all have a piece of me. I know the competition I face is fierce, but I also believe in my products. I will only succeed if I have the support of my loyal clients, and all the new people who enquire about my work every day. I intend to continue to bake up a frenzy. And remember ‘every day is cake day’
