Spring doesn't make dinner any easier.

The days get longer, the weather picks up, and everyone decides now is the time to start something. Sport goes back on. The evenings fill up. Somewhere in the middle of all that, someone still has to work out what's for dinner and get it on the table.

That's the bit we take.

Today is cook day. Everything leaving this kitchen was ordered by Sunday night, cooked this morning, and goes out tomorrow across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Chilled, portioned, ready to heat.

The new menu opens Thursday 9am and closes Sunday 10pm.

What's the first thing that falls apart when your week gets busy?

30/08/2026

Nobody brings a lasagne after week three.

The first fortnight there's food on the doorstep every other day. Then everyone goes back to their own lives, which is fair enough, and that's about when it gets hard. The baby's still up at 3am, nobody's slept, and dinner is toast standing up.

If you know someone in that part of it, you can send them a box. 10 meals in the fridge, nothing to decide, nothing to shop for. It's a more useful gift than flowers and it lasts longer.

Gift cards from $30 to $500, or send a box straight to their door across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

This week's menu closes 10pm tonight. The line-up is on the site.

Who do you know in the newborn fog right now?

25/08/2026

Nothing leaves this kitchen without Connie seeing it.

She's here Tuesday morning, cooking each batch and overseeing every meal that goes out.

There's a team on the bench with her, and that's the point. Somebody looks at every container before the lid goes on. If a batch isn't right it doesn't leave.

Nobody scales this the way a factory would. It's one kitchen, one cook day, and 10 dishes a week for the people who ordered them by Sunday night.

That's the reason the food tastes like someone made it. Because someone did.

Cooked today, delivered tomorrow across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

New menu opens Thursday 9am. 5 meat, 5 vegetarian, plus Mains To Share.

What's the one dish you'd never trust a machine to make?

23/08/2026

It's Sunday. The week hasn't started and you're already tired thinking about it.

It's the 6pm part that does it. Everyone hungry, a fridge half full of things that don't add up to a meal, and nobody agreeing on anything.

You can take a few of those nights off the table. Order by 10pm tonight and your box lands Wednesday, cooked, chilled and portioned. Heat it, eat it, sit down.

This week's line-up is on the site. Five meat, five vegetarian, or one big tray from Mains To Share if that suits your house better.

Weekly Meal Pack from $85.90. Subscribe and save 10%, skip any week you like.

Which night of the week beats you?

18/08/2026

You're not too tired to cook. You're too tired to decide.

Anyone who has stood in front of an open fridge at 6pm knows the difference. The cooking isn't the hard part. It's the deciding, the shopping, the working out what everyone will eat.

That's the part we take off you. On the bench today:

1. Braised Pork Belly & Egg with white rice
2. Chicken Chow Mein
3. Beef Stew with white rice
4. Satay Chicken Stir Fry with brown rice
5. Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry with white rice

Plus 5 vegetarian dishes running alongside, a full parallel menu.

400g each, cooked fresh in our Cheltenham kitchen, delivered Wednesday across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Heat and eat.

The next menu opens Thursday 9am and closes Sunday 10pm.

What time of day does the "what's for dinner" question hit you hardest?

16/08/2026

Skip a week. We won't chase you.

The word subscription puts people off, usually because they picture something difficult to get out of. Ours can run weekly or fortnightly, saves you 10% on every order, and lets you skip or pause a delivery without having to contact us.

Fortnightly is worth considering if five meals every week is more than you need. You keep the discount, receive a box every second week, and can skip when your plans change.

On this week's menu:
Braised Pork Belly and Egg
Chicken Chow Mein
Beef Stew
Satay Chicken
Teriyaki Chicken
Plus five vegetarian dishes.

Orders close tonight at 10pm for Wednesday delivery.

Would you rather lock in a routine, or choose fresh every week? 👇

You don't have to eat all 5.

There's usually one dish on any menu you look at and think, not for me. You can tell us.

Above the Add to Cart button there are 2 boxes. The first is for standing notes, the things you never want in your box. No pork. No seafood. Mild only. Tell us once and it sticks to every delivery after that.

The second is for swaps. Don't want one of this week's 5? Tell us what to put in its place. If we can't do it that week, we'll message you before we cook, not after.

On the menu now: braised pork belly and egg, chicken chow mein, beef stew, satay chicken, teriyaki chicken. 5 vegetarian dishes run alongside.

Orders close Sunday 10pm.

Which dish would you swap out first?

11/08/2026

Three kinds of rice for ten dishes. Nobody's ever ordered us for the rice.

White rice for the poached chicken and the kung pao. Coconut rice for the Thai red curry, because a curry sitting on plain white tastes like half a dish. Quinoa rice for the vegan mushroom stew.

That's three pots going this morning on top of the cooking itself, for the same ten dishes.

One big batch of white would be easier. It would also be worse, and you'd taste it by Wednesday night.

Nothing to order today. The new menu opens Thursday 9am.

Be honest, do you notice the rice, or is it the bit you scrape aside?

09/08/2026

If you're not on the list by 10pm, we don't buy your food.

At 10 tonight I sit down and write the shopping list straight off this week's orders. We buy exactly that and nothing extra. Message me Monday and there's nothing in the fridge with your name on it.

On the list this week: poached chicken with ginger scallion sauce, twice cooked pork belly stir fry, beef yakisoba noodles, kung pao chicken, thai red meatball curry. There are 5 vegetarian dishes as well.

Connie cooks it Tuesday. It's at your door Wednesday morning, Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, or you can pick up from our Cheltenham kitchen.

Orders close 10pm tonight. Which one would you eat first?
