We usually choose to focus on the positive and celebrate the wonderful support we receive from our community. In six years of serving our guests, we have rarely felt the need to publicly respond to a negative incident.
However, this time we felt it was important not to stay silent. We have a responsibility to stand by our team and ensure they know they will always be supported when they are treated unfairly.
This incident happened about 3 pm on 19 July as our girl got yelling and threatening from one of customer and in the six years we have proudly served our community, this is the first time we have experienced a situation like this.
We understand that you may have been unhappy with parts of your experience, and we are always willing to reflect on how we can improve. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome, and that is something we genuinely care about. If you do upset, talk to us nicely instead of insulting and shouting.
At the same time, we hope our team is treated with the same kindness and respect that every customer deserves. Our staff come to work each day to provide the best service they can, and they also deserve to feel safe in their workplace.
While we always welcome constructive feedback, we also have a responsibility to support and protect our team. When a situation escalates and a staff member feels threatened or is being shouted at, they have the right to ask that person to leave the venue. This decision is never made lightly and is only made to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
We truly value every customer who walks through our doors, and we also value every member of our team. We believe respect should go both ways, and we remain committed to providing the warm, welcoming service that our community has known us for over the past six years
