β ROADMAP CHANGES FOR 70% ββ
The NSW Government has released further details for the reopening roadmap at 70%.
Below are the details that have been released so far.

π¨ 70 PER CENT ROADMAP π¨
Under the Reopening NSW roadmap at 70 per cent, the following freedoms will apply only to fully vaccinated adults (16+) and those with medical exemptions (staff and patrons) from Monday
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Gatherings in the home and public spaces
- Up to 10 visitors will be allowed in a home where all adults are vaccinated (not including children 12 and under).
- Up to 30 people can gather in outdoor settings. This does not include your backyard or front yard.
π°ββοΈπ€΅ββοΈ Weddings, funerals and places of worship
- Up to 100 guests can attend weddings, with dancing permitted and eating and drinking only while seated.
- Up to 100 guests can attend funerals, with eating and drinking while seated.
- No changes to caps for those not fully vaccinated
- Churches and places of worship to open subject to 1 person per 4sqm rule.
- 10 person cap on choirs on places of worship and at religious services, with all performers to be fully vaccinated.
πͺ Venues including hospitality, retail stores and gyms
- Hospitality venues can reopen subject to 1 person per 4sqm inside and 1 person per 2sqm outside, with standing while drinking permitted outside.
- Retail stores can reopen under the 1 person per 4sqm rule (unvaccinated people will continue to only be able to access critical retail).
- Personal services such as hairdressers, spa, nail, beauty, waxing, tattoo and massage can open with 1 person per 4sqm, capped at 5 clients per premises.
- Gyms and indoor recreation facilities can open under the 1 person per 4sqm rule and can offer classes for up to 20 people.
- Sporting facilities including swimming pools can reopen.
πββοΈ Indoor Swim Centres
- Indoor swim centres can reopen with swimming lessons, squads training, lap swimming and rehabilitation
π Stadiums, theatres and major outdoor recreation facilities
- Major recreation outdoor facilities including stadiums, racecourses, theme parks and zoos can reopen with 1 person per 4sqm, capped at 5000 people.
- Up to 500 people can attend ticketed and seated outdoor events.
- Indoor entertainment and information facilities including cinemas, theatres, music halls, museums and galleries can reopen with 1 person per 4sqm or 75% fixed seated capacity.
π£ Travel
- Caravan parks and camping grounds can open.
- Carpooling will be permitted.
- Travel will be permitted in Regional NSW but not into or out of Greater Sydney.
π· Masks
- Masks will remain mandatory for all indoor public venues, including public transport, front-of-house hospitality, retail and business premises, on planes and at airports.
- Only hospitality staff will be required to wear a mask when outdoors.
- Children aged under 12 will not need to wear a mask indoors.
π Schools
- from October 18, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 12 will return
- From October 25, all other years will return
π Vaccination requirements for Regional NSW
- Workers in regional NSW who are required to be vaccinated to return to work, can return from Monday if they have had their first dose of a vaccine and the second one booked before 1 November.
- Customers in all these venues will be required to be fully vaccinated.
There are also changes for 80% and 90% and I will update them later.
