Join Riverbank Estate for a masterclass exploring the evolution of Swan Valley wine, from the traditional style of extended barrel maturation to a new generation of wines focused on freshness, varietal character and a stronger sense of place. We’ll taste wines from different stages of this evolution and explore how harvest timing, oak and élevage can shape the way a wine expresses itself.

Most importantly, we’ll ask the question: can you taste Swan Valley in the glass? Through a series of wines, we’ll explore what makes the region unique, how our approach at Riverbank is evolving, and whether fresher, more varietally expressive wines can reveal more of the vineyard, the variety and the place they come from.

"This is a combination of the pressings from all varieties grown on the property. Lovely floral, watermelon and cranberry notes on the nose. The palate is certainly slightly sweet, but the balancing acidity keeps it precise and long, with a balanced finish. It’s a beautiful current-drinking wine, and I reckon a plate of fresh fruit would be perfect."
