Ryan, our Head Roaster, talks us through La Serranía Decaf and why the decaf process can make coffee look a little different.
Grown in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia, La Serranía is a Natural EA Decaf, processed using ethyl acetate derived from sugar cane and mountain water to remove 99.7% of the caffeine.
The result is a decaf that still holds onto plenty of its original character, with a little extra fruit and complexity in the cup.
Tasty and sweet with notes of butterscotch, apple strudel and honeycomb.
