Now we are getting ready for our REUNION during the 2026 Orange Wine Festival 🍷

Antica Australis returns to Australia for a REUNION with Cargo Road Wines.

This will be the very last time we present as Antica Australis worldwide, as we move forward with a new and yet-to-be-revealed dining concept in the near future.

But first, Paolo wanted to go back to where it all started…to Cargo Road Wines in the Orange wine region of New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺

This is where we were given our first opportunity to present as our ‘Pochi ma Buoni’ festival pop-ups, before evolving into a restaurant that became a travel company that is now on the edge of a new evolution 💫

CARGO ROAD WINES :: about 12 years ago, the first iteration of Antica Australis began here…

Cargo Road Wines

as the ‘Pochi ma Buoni’ pop-ups during the local Spring & Autumn food and wine festivals in the cool-climate Orange wine region of New South Wales, Australia.

Cargo Road Wines is one of the three original vineyards planted in the volcanic soils of Orange in the 1980s, and since then the region has flourished.

So has Cargo Road Wines: the vines have matured beautifully, and vigneron James Sweetapple is a master artisan of wine-making 🍷

Come and join us for an evening or lunch this October for the Orange Wine Festival for the REUNION of Antica Australis ➕ Cargo Road Wines.

One of the finest things about living in central Italy - developing a copper collection for our kitchen.

We source direct from a local coppersmith based in the ancient hilltop town of Agnone, in the most remote & wildly beautiful region of Molise. Just over the other side of the Apennine mountains from Ciociaria.

The coppersmiths of Agnone have been famed throughout the Italian peninsula since the Bronze Age, and the sound of Agnone for centuries was the ringing over cobblestones & ancient stone walls of artisans beating copper into form.
