To our wonderful Wynnum and surrounding community,
We want to sincerely thank you for the incredible patience and understanding you have shown us since opening our new store.
Unfortunately, during periods of heavy demand, we have been experiencing both network and POS system failures, which are causing unacceptable delays and preventing our team from providing the level of service we expect of ourselves — and that our customers deserve.
After careful consideration, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐖𝐲𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝.
This is absolutely not the way we wanted to begin our journey in Wynnum, and we sincerely apologise to anyone who has experienced long waits or frustration while we have been working through these problems.
𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦. Many of our staff are young and relatively new to the industry, and they have been working under incredibly difficult circumstances. They have had to manage long queues, system failures and understandably frustrated customers, often without having the information or tools available to provide the updates and answers customers were quite reasonably asking for. When our systems were down, our team simply did not have access to the information needed to give accurate answers or timeframes. We understand how frustrating this was for our customers, but we ask that you please remember our staff were doing their best in a very challenging situation. We are incredibly proud of the way they continued to show up, work hard and support our customers under pressure.
We are taking the time to properly address these issues so that when we reopen, we can provide the fast, reliable and enjoyable experience you expect from Costas Seafood.
To everyone who has supported us, waited patiently, encouraged our team and given us a chance — thank you. We truly appreciate it.
