For many Cannon Hill families, Billy Wong in his signature braces had been part of a familiar ritual for more than 30 years — greeting diners at the door of Billy’s Pine and Bamboo, treating every customer like a guest in his own home, chatting with equal passion about Peking Duck and golf.

Dear Billy, to say you will be missed would be an understatement.

What a weekend at Billy's Pine and Bamboo Restaurant ! 🧧🥟🎊

We kicked off the Year of the Horse in the best way possible. A weekend of lion dance and firecrackers right here at the restaurant!

Seeing our new and regular customers come together, sharing smiles and laughter, truly filled every corner of Billy’s Pine and Bamboo with joy. 🥢❤️

We are so humbled and grateful for your loyal support. From all of us at the Billy’s Pine and Bamboo team, thank you for celebrating with us.

Welcome our first participants for our Wall of Shame.
What fine specimens we had in for tonight.

This rude lot came in tonight to have dinner at the restaurant and left without paying. Told our staff they were going to put the kids in the car and come back to pay for the meal. Once the children were in the car it became a fast and furious scene to see who can get out of the carpark fastest.

We have built on trust with our customers at Billy’s Pine & Bamboo Restaurant for over 36 years, however tonight these fine specimens showed us what you can do with trust. Using their own children as an excuse to rip off a hard working business is quite a poor form.

The matter has been forwarded to the Police.

If anyone has any information in relation to our “Wall of Shame” participants please let us know.
