What if you took your workplace wellbeing outside?
This morning I led a group through a nature therapy session — helping them to step away from the usual demands of work to slow down, engage the senses and reconnect with the natural environment.
We explored how simple nature-based practices can create space to pause, reset attention and support wellbeing — without needing a big adventure or even a lot of time.
Nature therapy can be a surprisingly simple addition to workplace wellbeing 🌿

The best part of a nature therapy session might be the part where you do nothing.
At the end we always pause for a sit spot - but why?
After walking, noticing, exploring and connecting, this gives you space to reflect on what you noticed — and to choose what you want to carry with you when you leave.
A thought.
A feeling.
A new perspective.
Or maybe a reminder.
The pause matters - enjoy it 🌿

I camped at Flea Creek last night and I definitely activated my blue mind state - it was bliss 😌
This mildly meditative sense of peace , calm and quite happiness can be experienced when near, in, on, or under water
Neuroscientists and evolutionary psychologists say the human brain is hardwired to respond to water due to biophilia - our innate biological connection to nature.
How does water make you feel?

Have you ever tried green desking?!
Taking your work outside for as little as 20 minutes can restore your focus and short term memory, improve creativity and mental energy, and also reduce stress.

20 minutes outdoors is as good as a cup of coffee!

What if challenge was part of our wellbeing, rather than something to try and avoid?
In this months article in Holistic Bliss Magazine I share a process for how growth can come through challenge and why nature offers the perfect setting for big or little challenges 🌿

It’s National Wattle Day, so I’m sharing an Australian Bush Flower Essence that I love - the Sunshine Wattle.
This pretty little flower is traditionally connected to resilience, hope and letting go of the weight of the past.
Not pretending difficult things haven’t happened.
Not forcing positivity.
Just gently turning attention to lightness, joy and optimism for a brighter future.

A guided session can shift how you experience a familiar place — and give you new ways to connect with nature on your own.
Go solo often.
Go guided once a month.
See What’s On on my website and join me for a walk 🌿
