Legends! Check this out for a cracking look into what’s being brewed in the Canberra Bubble!

First up we have Local Joint from Cypher! This is one clean, malty and quietly expressive Amber Lager. It starts with floral spice and orange blossom, then dips into marmalade, soft toffee and rounded malt character. It’s also Cypher’s nod to local joints like us, TAMF, OCI, and the like! What legends!

Next we have Hawkers Lager. As they say, it’s just a really good beer. It’s clean, light bodied, and with subtle notes of citrus and a sensational dry finish!

Next up, we have Earth Beer Company’s High Country American Pale! This is a big, bold, and malt-driven number that blends caramel and toasted biscuit flavors, balanced by zesty citrus hops and subtle pine notes to round it off!

Capital Brewing are up next with their latest single hop pale, Lone Cone. Brewed with every possible version of Simcoe available, T90, Hyperboost, Dynaboost, and Cryo. The result is a big, juicy pale full of peach, apricot, grapefruit & orange peel. It’s got a crispy, easy drinking body and a lovely dry finish!

This year’s Cluster 8 from Bentspoke is an absolute cracker! It showcases the best American hop flavours and aromas of tropical mango, pineapple, ripe peaches and grapefruit, perfectly balanced by clean malt body and an extremely well balanced bitterness to finish.

As local as we can get, the Beerded Bro has brewed a freakin’ pearler for Cypher’s Chaos Realm! Titan’s Legacy was brewed in collaboration with upcoming local legends, Everyday Legacy distillery. This Chocolate Orange Stout is literally a jaffer in a beer, with extremely well controlled sweetness! What a belter!

Special mention to our other local legends, Ale Mary and Ambush, both of which didn’t make it this week but will definitely be in the mix soon!

Crikey! What a cracking week of tipping for Foppybrones?!

Little amendment for last week’s results where the AFL pint should have gone to Phaedra, with Gin_ge only registered for the NRL comp but having a friendly crack tipping the AFL…

Congratulations Phaedra, I have a pint waiting for you this week too, and thank you for your honesty Gin_ge… love your work!

Legends! Got a couple of cracking Canberra lagers to kick off our current lineup!

First up it’s Ale Mary’s Crisp Lager! This number is clean, refreshing, and made to the German traditional purity laws. Perfect beer if you need to refresh or wanna have a sesh!

Next we have Capital’s Tokyo Dark rice lager! If you like an All Night Long, which indeed I do… then think of that but in a lighter and dryer and spectacularly mashable body!

Next up we have a spectacular single hop pale from Precinct! These guys are seriously on my radar and for good reason… they don’t miss! This is a bright and hugely flavourful number with a smooth and light body that’s so easy have a few!

Boatrocker are back in big West Coast style. This number packs everything you want in a West Coast IPA with a spectacular balanced bitterness, erring on the side of a slight sweetness… It’s a cracker!

When you have a pint of Snowys Winter Ale from Frogs Hollow is like having a pint of hugs! This Amber is velvety and smooth with luscious notes of chocolate and vanilla with a lovely subtle hint of bitterness to have you wanting another one!

Last up, we have the Moonless Midnight Stout from our friends up north, Common People! This milk stout delivers notes of coffee, cacao and a hint of to***co. It has a full-bodied sweetness that’s balanced with a roasted malt flavour, and finishes with a smooth bitterness!

Legends! Time for another cracking lineup!

Squinters are back with their awesome Draught lager. It’s such an easy drinking beer. It’s clean, crisp and refreshing as you’d expect from such a crowd pleasing anytime Beer!

Next we welcome Wooden Axe into the fold with their cracking hazy pale, Cloud Splitter! Juicy hops, soft haze, and all of the bright citrus and tropical notes you’d expect from a hazy. With its low bitterness it’s such an easy-drinker!

Next up we have the Pale Ale from Hawkers! It’s pumped full of American hops with a fine balance between character and sessionability. Vibrant notes of stonefruit, citrus, and pine introduce a beer that is as flavourful as it is smashable!

We’re big fans of the Cool Kids series from Hopsters & Frenchies and Vol 42 is seriously one of the best we’ve had! This hazy juice bomb blends the zesty lime-spritz of Motueka with the intense pink grapefruit punch of Cryo Riwaka. Then it’s supercharged with Amplifire Rhapzody oil. It’s heavy on the tropical funk, zero hop burn, and purely plush from start to finish!

Sonnenschein from The Barrel Shepherd is just about gone! This cracker was dry hopped with freshly picked whole cone Victoria hops and then aged for 18 months in 3 different barrels. It’s got a moderate tartness, light oak undertones that unfold to a citrus meets tropical fruit aroma! It’s an old world cracker!

Last up, we have the Law of the Tongue from Sailors Grave and… Yowsers! This Oyster Stout was brewed in collaboration with Wapango Rocks Wild Organic Oysters that were added to the kettle to provide subtle mineral and ocean flavours. Also brewed with Beechwood smoked malt, lactose and Sunrise Limes from Murray View Organics. This stout is smooth, creamy and full-bodied with a bacon-like smokiness and citrus kick in the tail. Spectacular beer!
