Veganarchy Baking Veganarchy Sweets and Eats was based in Canberra Australia, specialising in 100% vegan treats. From this, Veganarchy Sweets and Eats was born.

Veganarchy is a (very) small independent business based in Canberra, Australia. Gabrielle bakes all of the delicious cupcakes, donuts, muffins, cookies, slices, and cheesecake fresh and on request using organic + fair-trade ingredients where possible, she can cater for all your special events: birthdays, morning + afternoon teas, for offices events, engagements, weddings, movie marathons, really…

just any time you can think of to eat sweets. Like most small businesses, Veganarchy started as a hobby, with Gabrielle spending hours baking, tweaking and taste testing at home. Recognising an opportunity to cater for vegans and allergy suffers in Canberra, Gabrielle quickly progressed to offering up tasty treats for donation at local shows, and holding quarterly fund raising events to raise money for animal welfare organisations. With 9 years of vegan baking under her belt Gabrielle has developed an extensive catalogue of sweets. Focusing on making quality vegan baked goods that will rival any counterpart. Veganarchy caters for cafes during the week, attends markets on most weekends, and takes as many personal orders as humanly possible for one person! Gabrielle owns and operates the whole business on her own (with some help for markets) and Veganarchy Sweets ‘N’ Eats is a dream come true and complete labour of love for her. With the goal of eventually opening a vegan bakery + cafe in Canberra Australia, for now Veganarchy is concentrating on the wholesale and catering market, expanding clientele, further developing skills and repertoire, showcasing products at markets and proving that no animals need to be harmed to make a delicious moist cake, a melt in your mouth cookie or slice. Veganarchy also has a line of vegan sausages, schnitzels, pepperoni, bacon and cheese available exclusively at our Old Bus Depot Market Stall. It is with a very heavy heart I am writing. Rosie passed away at 11am on Sunday morning. She went quickly and peacefully in my arms wrapped in her favourite blanket with my mum (her beloved Nuhnuhs) present.
Since her IMHA diagnosis 7 years ago we’ve always known her life would be shorter, but she was resilient lasting far beyond any vets prediction. She fought so hard even with terrible initial odds of survival that decreased with each relapse.
She was the sweetest being I’ve ever known. Her kind and gentle nature touched everyone she met. Her gorgeous soulful eyes, cheeky smirk and whale tail wiggling filled me with a love I had never known. She was more than a pet, she was a family member that will be greatly missed by all. She was my best friend who helped me in more ways than she understood, got me through my toughest moments by simply existing. I am grateful for the 10 and a half years I was able to care for her and the time spent with her.
I am heartbroken and lost, but it was her time.
I wanted to extend a thank you and express gratitude for the years of love and support during Rosie’s life.

Today is Veganarchys last shop day. I have such a heavy heart writing this, but I am sadly just too unwell to keep going and at the moment my health is far more important. Opening a shop was the dream and I’ve done this now. But it’s no longer where my heart lies and I need some time. I’ll be popping up at markets from time to time during the coming months, including EPIC (this Saturday), if you still want a Veganarchy fix until I decide where to go from here. Come clear us out of sweets, I’ll be here until 3.30.

Today marks a year from the Marriage Equality vote response. It was a relief to me, and so many more, that it came back as yes and the law would change to be finally be inclusive. We’re celebrating in the shop with rainbow cupcakes - $1 from each cupcake will go to Diversity ACT to help with the support work they do for the LQBTQI+ community here in Canberra.

I am so sorry Cliffsofmoher. This poor angel has been euthanised after sustaining an injury during todays races. Horse racing kills and is a vile organisation that exploits beautiful animals and sees them as expendable. Please do not support this industry.

RIP Cliffsofmoher, and the tens of thousands of thoroughbred horses who will be sent to their deaths out of the spotlight, discarded by an industry who does not see you as the individuals you are
