So… prepare the hay fever tablets, prepare yourself emotionally for Floriade traffic, and accept that Canberra is about to pretend it’s warm again

But tucked away in a little suburb on the outskirts of all that chaos is a spot where you can escape, sit in the faux summer sun, grab a tray and tin from the IGA and eat some of the best Texas-inspired barbeque Canberra has to offer! ..

And we’ve made a decision…MONTHLY MENUS ARE OUT.....SEASONAL MENUS ARE IN!

Ladies & gents, this menu is sticking around until SUMMER ☀️

No more changing it every four weeks, we’re setting it, cooking the absolute hell out of it, and letting you actually get through the menu before we change the bloody thing again and again..

And speaking of Summer…We’ve got A LOT happening!

So… we’re back!

Last time, you lot cleaned us out far quicker than anticipated. A lovely problem to have, A slightly stressful problem to experience.
So for Pop-Up 2.0, we’re going bigger..More food..More space..Longer service.
And a slightly better system so we don’t all lose our minds.

Big Box Barbeque and AK’s Diner are teaming up again after the highly successful original pop-up earlier this year

This time, you can pre-order to lock in the goods, or you can queue if you don’t own a phone, computer, tablet, smart fridge or any other device capable of accessing the internet

PREORDERING ... How?
Pre-orders will be available online from 28/7 @ 6pm with set collection windows throughout the day. Each window includes a 15-minute buffer before the next one, helping us keep orders fresh, service moving and mistakes to an absolute minimum.
Once you’ve placed your pre-order, you will unfortunately not be able to add extra items to it on the day

So please order accurately.
Check it once..check it twice..then check whether you accidentally forgot the thing you were most excited about.

Is the Meat Halal? .. YES .. were applicable .. But we cut on the same boards ... As usual this is how we roll ..
Can I add on to my pre order on the day? .. No .. so make sure you order exactly what you looking for!
Can I order more than 100g of meat? Absolutely you can .. where the meat is "Per 100g" you can go to your hearts desire .. 1kg I think is the max thought ..

Well… we’ve finally done it... No more monthly opening-hours posts.

No more checking the grid like you’re solving a Canberra cold case, No more, “Hang on… are they open this Friday?”. From now on, these are our every week opening hours.
Nice...Simple...Consistent...Very unlike us, really

If we’re off slinging barbeque at a festival, catering something enormous or doing something equally ridiculous, we’ll let you know right here, on our channel and across the page

Otherwise…

Walk-ins are always welcome, and pre-orders are always encouraged.

JULY HAS ENTERED THE CHAT… AND WE’RE BACK IN ACTION

Canberra, we’re firing it al back up now, loading the trays, and bringing the very best Texas-inspired barbeque back to our home in Narrabundah all month long...

This July, we’re going non-stop at the shop front so make sure you hit is back hard!

Opening from midday until sold out on every date we’re trading here ..

That means brisket, pork, snags, sides, sauce and of course.. chaos… and probably someone saying, “I’ll just grab a small box,” before leaving with enough barbeque to feed the street

Pre-orders go live tomorrow from midday for the month of July & going forward, pre-order collection will run through the evening with a latest pick-up time of 7pm

Because let’s be honest … It’s winter ... It’s cold ... You need barbeque before 7pm ... This is basic survival ...

And this month, we’re bringing a bit of the old skool and the new skool back with Big Box flavours. The classics, the favourites, the fun stuff, and a few bits that are going to hit very hard!
