Important Notice to Our Valued Customers

To our dear customers,

After many wonderful years of serving the Canberra community, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close Raijin Japanese Cuisine while we carry out a complete renovation of our restaurant.

Over the years, our restaurant has welcomed thousands of wonderful customers and created so many happy memories. As our premises have aged, many parts of the restaurant—including some facilities that have been in place for more than 20 years—are now due for a major upgrade.

Following discussions with the Health Department this few days, we have decided to take this opportunity to fully renovate our restaurant so that every part of our premises meets today’s standards and provides a safer, more comfortable dining experience for everyone.

We would also like to sincerely thank the Health Department for their professional advice and guidance throughout this process. Their support has helped us understand what improvements are needed, and we are committed to making those improvements properly. Really appreciate the HPS officer came these few days to dicuss with us.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this temporary closure may cause.

For customers with existing bookings or deposits:

• All bookings during the closure period will be cancelled.
• Any deposit paid will be fully refunded within 24 hours to the original payment method. If you have not received your refund after 24 hours, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Most importantly, we want to say thank you.

Thank you for supporting our small family restaurant over the years. Thank you for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, family dinners and so many special moments with us. Your kindness, loyalty, and encouragement have meant more to us than words can ever express.

This is not goodbye—just a short pause while we build a better Raijin.

We look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed restaurant and creating many more happy memories together.

We promise we’ll be back, and when we do, we’ll welcome you with the same warm smiles, heartfelt hospitality, and home-style Japanese food you’ve always loved. Until then, thank you for standing by us. We can’t wait to see you again soon.

💜 BTS Ticket Mission Update 💜

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who commented, messaged us, sent us good luck wishes, and shared your ticket-buying tips and tricks with us. We honestly never expected so many people to follow our little BTS ticket adventure!

And sorry for taking so long to reply. We were completely focused on the ticket battle today and honestly spent the whole day in panic mode. 😅 Heart racing, hands shaking, constantly refreshing… we almost forgot the rest of the world existed for a while! 🤣

We’re incredibly grateful and lucky to say that we managed to secure tickets! 🎫💜

For our family, this journey didn’t start today. We previously tried for Korea and Japan as well, but unfortunately missed out both times. After so many disappointments, our daughter was starting to lose hope, so today felt extra special for us.

We know many ARMYs are still trying, and our hearts are with you. With the additional Melbourne show announced, there are still opportunities ahead!

To all the ARMYs joining tomorrow’s sale:

Due to all staff entering full-time BTS ARMY mode for the great Ticketing War of 2026 🎫⚔️

Raijin Japanese Cuisine will be CLOSED on next Tuesday 2/6.

Our team will be busy:
💻 refreshing 827 tabs
📱 screaming at Ticketek
💜 fighting for BTS seats

Please wish our staff luck.
May the queue numbers be ever in our favour 🙏🤣
P.S. One of our family members was too young to attend the concert years ago, so we promised them we would wait until they were older. We honestly thought maybe they would grow out of it over time — but they never did. Through all these years, they have continued to love BTS with the same passion and happiness. That’s why this time, our whole family is determined to do our absolute best to finally make this dream come true 💜

🧀 Cheese Protection Mission 2.0 🧀

Last time, our lovely regulars from LE CHEESERIE gifted us some amazing cheese… and before we even finished work, our “junior tasting team” had already demolished everything 🤣

This time, they kindly brought us MORE cheese again ❤️
Thank you so much!

But this time, we’ve made a serious decision:

“No staff, kids, or random walk-by snack thieves allowed.” 😂

Honestly though, their cheese is seriously next level.
We genuinely love it ourselves too 🧀

Big thanks for always supporting our little shop and constantly feeding us so well 🙏

Just a quick update on our free meals initiative —

We planned a total of 4 rounds, and we’ve already completed 2 🙏
The final 2 rounds will be next Tuesday 5/5 and Wednesday 6/6🍱
