HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

Today, we celebrate the men whose love is often expressed quietly.

In the early mornings and long working days.
In the advice we may not understand until years later.
In the hands that protect us, the shoulders that carry us and the reassuring words, “I’m here.”

Fatherhood is not measured by perfect moments or grand gestures. It is found in the everyday acts of love—the school drop-offs, bedtime stories, shared meals, patient lessons, terrible jokes and countless sacrifices that often go unseen.

To the dads holding little hands today, and those proudly watching their children create lives of their own…

To the stepdads who chose to love, the grandfathers who built the foundations of our families and the father figures who stepped forward when they were needed…

And to everyone missing their dad today—may the love, lessons and memories he left behind remain close to your heart. Some people may no longer sit beside us, but they never truly leave the lives they helped shape.

A father’s greatest gift is not simply what he provides. It is the feeling of knowing that someone believes in you, stands beside you and will always be part of who you become.

When your social media team sends you this, suddenly, the tiredness, the early mornings, the long days and all the hard work feel incredibly meaningful.

At Alkalizer, we’ve always believed that food is about so much more than what’s on the plate. It’s about care, connection and community.

Being able to provide a meal for the wonderful volunteers working tirelessly to prepare Liverpool Women's Shelter for its opening was a small gesture from our team but knowing it helped support people who are giving so much of themselves means the world to us.

Thankyou Liverpool Women’s Shelter team and every incredible volunteer for what you are doing for women and children in our community. Creating a place of safety, dignity, hope and new beginnings is truly special.

And thank you for these beautiful words and for allowing Alkalizer to be a small part of this journey.

💛 A heartfelt thank you to Shefali and Alkalizer 💛

As we prepare to officially open the doors of Liverpool Women’s Shelter tomorrow, there has been an incredible amount happening behind the scenes.

Our wonderful volunteers have been working around the clock, unpacking, building and putting together all our new furniture to help transform the shelter into a safe, welcoming and comfortable space for women and children.

Today, we were incredibly touched by the generosity of Shefali from Alkalizer, who provided food for our hardworking volunteers and made sure they were well looked after while they continued preparing the shelter for opening day.

Shefali, thank you for your kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness. Gestures like this mean so much. They remind us that Liverpool Women’s Shelter is being built not only with furniture and furnishings, but with connection, care and community.

We are immensely grateful to businesses like Alkalizer who choose to stand alongside us and support the people giving their time and energy to make our shelter possible.

And to our extraordinary volunteers — thank you. Every box unpacked, every piece of furniture assembled and every hour you have given is helping create a place of safety, hope and new beginnings for women and children in our community.

When we ask our Alkalizer Dad’s What does Father’s Day mean to them ?OMG the heartfelt answers melt our hearts away …

the handmade cards, the cuddles, breakfast with the family
simply having everyone together around the table?

The little moments that mean the most are hearing the word “Dad,” sharing a laugh, giving advice, watching children grow or receiving a hug when you least expect it.

Wow Being a dad is often found in the quiet, everyday things
the early mornings, the long days, the lessons taught, the sacrifices nobody sees and the comfort of always being there.

Father’s Day isn’t really about the biggest present. It’s a moment to pause and appreciate the bond between a father figures and his children and all the memories created along the way.

To every dad, stepdad, grandfather and father figure: thank you for your strength, guidance, patience and love. Your presence makes a difference in more ways than you may ever realise.

One feeds the table. The other fills the heart.
