A whole lot of colour, personality and Sebastian packed into one cookie set. 🎉🍪💙

These were designed to coordinate with his 5th birthday cake, with a playful mix of party hats, birthday messages, Lego, Toy Story, Mario, dinosaurs, farm animals and little nods to some of his favourite things.

I love sets like this because they don’t have to fit into one neat theme — sometimes the best brief is simply “these are all the things they love.” 🥹✨

And after making Sebastian’s 1st birthday treats four years ago, it was pretty special to be creating for his 5th birthday too. 💛

Bright, fun, a little bit chaotic… basically everything a 5th birthday should be. 😂🎈

This one felt a little bit special 🥹💛

Four years ago, I made Sebastian’s very first birthday cake — a bright little Elmo cake for his 1st birthday. And now here we are, celebrating 5. 🎂✨

This year’s brief was basically a collection of Sebastian’s favourite things all rolled into one colourful cake — Lego, Mario, dinosaurs, farm animals, Toy Story and plenty of fun little details scattered everywhere. 🌟🧱🍄🦖🐮🤠

One of the loveliest parts of being a small business is getting to watch families come back year after year and being trusted with their milestones as the kids grow. From “Happy 1st Birthday” to a giant number 5… how did that happen so quickly?! 🥹

Cake decorating has temporarily relocated to the dining table 😂🎂

Hubby is finishing off the last of the shelves in my decorating room, so for now it’s buttercream at the table, power tools in the next room, and pretending this is all completely normal. 😅

This one is for the customers who stopped feeling like “customers” a long time ago. 🥹🩷

There are a handful of people I think of immediately when I read this — the ones who have trusted me with birthday after birthday, celebration after celebration, and kept coming back through all the different seasons of Baked Impressions.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching families grow, kids get older, new babies arrive, milestones come and go… and somewhere along the way, some of those customer relationships turned into genuinely wonderful friendships.

The orders mean a lot, of course. But the messages, encouragement, recommendations, check-ins, laughs and unwavering support mean even more.

For a small business, repeat customers are never “just another order”. They’re the people who help keep the dream alive — and in my case, some have also become people I absolutely adore. 🥰

So if you’ve been here for years, ordered more times than either of us can count, told your friends about me, or supported Baked Impressions through its different chapters…

Thank you. Truly. You’re a much bigger part of this little business than you probably realise. 🩷✨

Okay… who here is into BIG, chunky, loaded cookies? 👀🍪

I’ve been playing around with some new ideas behind the scenes and this is one of the latest test batches — oversized, indulgent and definitely not the sort of cookie you politely nibble. 😂

Think thick, soft-centred, packed with flavour and made for sharing… although I fully support pretending you didn’t hear that last part.

I’m considering adding a small range of loaded cookies to Baked Impressions, with fun rotating flavours and gift-box options.

So I need to know:

Would you order loaded cookies?
And more importantly… what flavour would you want to see first? 👀👇

A little romance, a little drama… and a very appropriate amount of “it’s about damn time.” ❤️🎀

This vintage-inspired heart cake was made for a bride-to-be, with a soft blush base, deep red piping, delicate bows and plenty of old-school frills.

Inside: chocolate cake with whipped chocolate ganache, because if you’re celebrating a hens night, subtle probably isn’t the brief. 😂

I absolutely loved how this one came together — feminine, bold, a little cheeky and very fun.

Bride to be… it’s about damn time! 💍❤️

Because apparently motherhood wasn’t enough of a logistical challenge on its own. 😂

So naturally, I thought… you know what this needs? Deadlines. Customers. Invoices. Custom orders. Buttercream. And approximately 47 messages to reply to. 😅🎂🍪

Running Baked Impressions around family life is equal parts chaos, creativity, late nights, reheated coffees and “Mum, I need you!” at the exact moment my hands are covered in buttercream.

Is it harder? Absolutely.
Would I change it? Probably not. 😂💕

There’s something pretty special about building something of my own while still being there for the little people who call me Mum.

Although some days, the business plan is essentially:

Keep children alive. Make cake. Answer messages. Find coffee. Repeat. ✨
