The Events Centre is the largest venue on the Sunshine Coast with a flat floor space of 1432sqm which can be used for large trade shows to gala dinners. The Centre

can cater for 20 - 1750 delegates, for a broad range of meetings, conferences, exhibitions and other events. Our warm and friendly staff offer outstanding service and will help create an event that will be remembered by all who attend.

My Weekly Preview's Ingrid Nelson sat down with Melinda Schneider ahead of her most ambitious show yet, and the story behind it is worth a read.

Melinda's connection to Barbra Streisand goes back to childhood, falling asleep backstage listening to her mum sing The Way We Were, then learning it herself on ukulele at age three.

Now she’s bringing a full Streisand tribute to life with a 10-piece band, taking on favourites like People, Woman in Love and the haunting Papa, Can You Hear Me? from Yentl.

Schneider says it’s pushed her voice further than anything in her 40+ year career, so much so it inspired a brand-new original song, Further Than My Fear.

As Ingrid puts it, Melinda is an “Aussie songbird (who) goes further toward vocal excellence in her new show.”
