"Dreams Come True"
“We broke another common belief of the working holiday culture by hosting a festival ourselves as working holiday makers!!”
And the result was a huge success, with more than 1,000 people attending the festival!!!
Not in the city, but at Caravonica State School — a location around 20 minutes away from the Cairns CBD!
We truly believe these 1,000+ visitors came because of the power and support of everyone involved — the performers, stall holders, volunteers, organizers, the people who helped put posters up around town, and every single person who supported us along the way.
We held this event with gratitude for everything —
being able to live here in Cairns, being able to host an event, having people experience our products, watch our performances, being given a venue, and being given opportunities.
With appreciation for all of those things, we created this festival with the hope of building “WA” — harmony, connection, and gratitude.
Because every single person helped create this atmosphere together, we received so many comments from visitors saying:
“We love the atmosphere of the festival.”
This atmosphere was something created by the entire community together, and we believe that energy was clearly felt by everyone who came.
Once again, thank you so much to everyone who helped make JAPANESE FESTIVAL -WA ARIGATOU- such a special and unforgettable event!
