Hey you mob, Cairns Ice Cream Taxi mob. Today and tomorrow we are on.

You may not know this but my other non ice cream specialty is sport development.

I’ve taught it locally in Cairns, and communities including up in the Torres Strait, Kowanyama, Bamaga and down to Cherbourg.

Before the Ice Cream Taxi, I was also President of Cairns Volleyball Association taking me to Aurakun, and a big thing for me was further supporting the development of women’s sport.

So why not head to the Women’s All-Stars Carnival @ the Kangaroo's League Club, Irene St Mooroobool and see the best that local Indigenous Women’s sport has to offer, and stop by the Ice Cream Taxi whilst in the neighbourhood.

You won’t find us on the streets tonight…. We’ve had to get a bigger ‘stadium’. You will find us at one of the biggest music events in Cairns for 2026.

Great music with SIX60, alongside other food options, we’re bringing great customer service accompanied with the usual great ice cream/ dessert options with the Ice Cream Taxi.

Great football being played backed by a great local radio station doing good all over the local communities keeping mob, and a few migaloos knowing what’s going on in community.

Well worth a listen, and well worth dropping into Jones Park to checkout some of this talent with teams from Canberra up and through Queensland including the Torres Strait.

Had a great time recently swinging by the South Side and going back to school to yarn with students about life and work and how one becomes the ice cream guy, with the class finishing off with Ice Cream.

In reflection, the two take always, meet/ get to know people, and be kind to people, easy to do from an ice cream van: hence what we hope is always great customer service, there’s the opportunity for so much practice.
