Grab your glitter & get ready to groove – our 70s Disco Bingo & Trivia event is happening Friday 21st August, 3pm–6pm at Lagoon Creek Café!

$10 entry covers all the bingo & trivia games, light refreshments, and multiple chances to win prizes. Come dressed for the decade – the more disco, the better!

We don’t often put ourselves forward for things like this…

But nominations are open for the Pumicestone Business Excellence Awards - and they've just been extended until the 21st April 2026.

If our café, workers, trainees, or the work we do here has meant something to you, you’re welcome to nominate us.

If you've been to the Cafe lately, you'll likely have met "Billie Jean". Our resident magpie-lark, who is often calling out to its sidekick "Billy Bob".

Apparently, Billie Jean wanted to let you all know we will be closed this Good Friday 3rd April and Easter Monday 6th April, reopening on Tuesday 7th April.

Thanks to Skilling Queenslanders for Work, a Department of Trade, Employment and Training invitiative with the Queensland Government, Better Together and Lagoon Creek Cafe now host two hospitality training programs! And the best part? They’re at no cost to you! No funding needed.

Our hospitality programs offer on-the-job, industry recognised practical training as well as comprehensive learning and personal mentoring and development. Great way to learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

🎬 A quick heads-up!

Service may be temporarily interrupted tomorrow (Thursday 19th February) between approximately 11:00am – 1:30pm due to filming commitments on-site.

This is an exciting opportunity for our Better Together and Lagoon Creek Cafe hospitality trainees! We are so excited to welcome the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) to showcase our long-standing Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs.

We appreciate your flexibility & support while we take part in this special moment.
