What’s the difference between our two beans?

🥊 Boxer is smooth, chocolatey and caramel-forward. It’s rich, balanced and the kind of coffee that feels like a warm hug on a cool day. Perfect for the classic flat white, cap or latte.

⚡ Supreme is more adventurous. Expect notes of juicy fruit, citrus and a lighter, more complex finish. Great if you take your coffee black or like exploring different flavour profiles.

So that said… Team Boxer or Team Supreme? 👀

Meet Josh.

Owner of The Hum, iced coconut coffee drinker, big brekky loyalist.

Most unhinged hum moment: Cyclone Alfred, 2025. The whole of Byron lost power except our block. The neon sign stayed on, the coffee machine survived and once it was safe to open, our caffeine-starved locals were lined up around the corner.

His if-you-know-you-know order: Iced coconut coffee + hum big brekky with gluten free toast sub. the gf toast is next level.

Menu item he’d defend in court: The MVP.

Biggest misconception about owning a beachfront cafe: That it isn't ruled by the weather, because it is. And that it's only full of tourists, because it isn't. We really love, care about and rely on our locals & Summer.

Finish this: The Hum is for people who... are in Byron, want great food, sweet vibes and a beachside seat.
