Cook/Chef – Wide Open Road Byron Bay Café
Casual | Immediate Start | Approx. 25 hours per week
Wide Open Road is looking for an experienced cook/chef to join our small team at our café in Byron Bay. This is involves at least one weekend day—approximately 25 hours across the week—with potential for additional hours.
About the Role
You’ll be working in a small kitchen and service environment, preparing a simple, high-quality menu. We’re focused on efficiency, consistency, and maintaining a calm, positive atmosphere. The role includes some front-of-house interaction, so strong customer service skills and clear communication in English are essential.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a café or kitchen environment
Ability to work independently and remain composed under pressure
Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food presentation
A proactive, positive attitude and team mindset
Friendly, reliable, and confident with customer service

It means stepping up across every aspect of the many processes that go into creating a great cup of coffee, and doing everything we can to get it in front of you.

We also like beautiful things, and we like making things beautiful—which aligns nicely with our coffee choices.
