After four years at Origins Market, it’s time to say a very fond farewell to husband-and-wife duo Jess & Zac as they prepare for their big move to South Australia. 💛

Through Vassalite Creations and Engraved by Zac, they’ve brought a wonderfully unique mix to the market, from beautifully mounted Australian and exotic insect specimens to personalised engraved gifts, timber serving boards and more.

This is their final week at Origins Market, finishing Monday, 28th September, so if you’ve had your eye on one of their pieces now is the time to stop by.

Thank you, Jess & Zac, for being part of our market community for the past four years. We're sad to see you go, but wish you both all the very best for the move and this exciting next chapter. 🐝

There’ll be free and low-cost activities happening daily, with plenty of fun for the whole family alongside all your favourite food, shopping and treats around the market.

And there’s an extra day to visit! 🙌 We’ll be OPEN on the King’s Birthday public holiday, Monday 28 September, from *8:30am–4pm (*select vendors from 7am)

New Vendor Alert: Fae by the Bay 🐚

Meet Leah, the South West artist behind Fae by the Bay, now part of the Crafted in Busselton collective in Artisan.alley.busselton.

Inspired by her love of colour, sculpture and the natural beauty of the Western Australian coastline, Leah combines sculptural techniques with natural materials to create one-of-a-kind pieces full of character.

Using seashells sourced from a licensed Western Australian supplier, her collection includes unique jewellery, sculptures and artworks, from whimsical mermaids, fairies and wizards to playful characters and coastal-inspired creations. 🧜‍♀️🧚‍♀️

Each piece is handmade here in the South West with plenty of care, creativity and attention to the little details that make it truly unique.

🐝 Behind the Scenes: Capricopia Farm

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes when Origins Market isn’t open?

For many of our vendors, Monday to Wednesday aren’t days off. They’re the days spent growing, making, baking, creating, preparing and restocking everything you see when the doors open again on Thursday.

Capricopia Farm is a perfect example.

Behind their stall at Origins Market is a working farm, where the goats are milked to help create the products you find on their shelves, sheep are shorn and their wool spun and woven, and beehives are cared for, including our very own Origins Market bees when they head offsite for the winter. 🐐🐑🐝

And that’s only part of what goes into getting ready for another week at the market.

It’s a side of our market community you don’t always get to see but an important part of what makes shopping local so special.
