SPIN CITY SPRING EDITION! 🌻🎶

Join us on Saturday October 3rd for the spring edition of our much-loved vintage vinyl fair at The Banksia Tavern.

Once again we’re bringing the record store to Busselton for the day, as some of our favourite South West vinyl vendors fill the tav with thousands of vintage records for sale!

Whether you’re chasing rare finds, filling gaps in the collection or simply looking for an excuse to spend the afternoon surrounded by good tunes, good drinks and good people, Spin City is the perfect way to spend a spring Saturday.

We’ll have arvo DJs on deck for all your shopping soundtracks + icy cold beers, spring cocktails and our delicious weekend lunch menu on the go.

PLUS! We’ll be raffling off another $100 Gold Record voucher to spend with any of our vendors on the day. Every food purchase receives a raffle ticket, so grab yourself some lunch and you might head home with a stack of free wax!

Our Sunday live music series continues this weekend as we welcome Brightsider to the Front Bar stage at Banksia! 🌞🎸🎶

Margaret River songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dan White brings his soulful mix of indie, RnB and groove to Banksia for a special stripped-back solo set.

One of the South West’s most prolific performers, Dan has more than 20 years across the WA music scene and over 2,000 shows under his belt, sharing stages with the likes of Xavier Rudd, The Cat Empire, The Teskey Brothers, San Cisco, Winston Surfshirt and Ash Grunwald.

Two hours of live music from 3pm, with Banksia vinyl DJs spinning tunes around the show, icy cold BEERFARM beers and choice cocktails pouring all arvo.

Tomorrow, Sunday 13 September from 3pm.

The Banksia Dirty Martini

Our most popular classic cocktail down here at the Tav, made to exacting standards. Ice cold, savoury and unapologetically boozy.

Tracing all the way back to 1901, the Dirty Martini is said to have started at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria, where bartender John E. O’Connor first introduced muddled olives into the classic Martini - a bloody tops idea if we’ve ever heard one!

Ours keeps things classic - Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Dolin Dry French Vermouth, a healthy dose of brine and a terrific trio of supersized Spanish olives.

Over a hundred years of cocktail history in every sip, and the perfect way to kick off the weekend at our place.

JADE RICH – LIVE AT BANKSIA 🌊

Fresh from a breakout year, double WAM Award-nominated indie/alt-pop artist Jade Rich brings her stunning live show to Banksia, celebrating the release of her brand-new single “quite the view (underwater)”.

Arriving in Busselton after a stellar run including Triple J airplay, a huge support slot with UK indie favourites Amber Run, WA’s Bloom Fest and, most recently, playing BIGSOUND festival in Brisbane – all ahead of her debut album, set for release in 2027.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Holly Humberstone, Bon Iver and Griff, “quite the view (underwater)” is a vulnerable, atmospheric take on the messy, non-linear nature of personal growth. Expect stunning vocals, honest songwriting and dreamy indie/alt-pop — served up close and intimate in the Front Bar at Banksia.

Looking for some fresh off-menu cocktail adventures? We’ve got just the stuff.

Kicking off this month, alongside our seasonal drinks list, we’ll be serving up a one-off Cocktail of the Month — curated just for you by the Banksia bar crew.

First cab off the rank this month is the ‘CYNAR GIRL’ – a very savvy blend of Cynar (bittersweet Italian amaro with artichoke and earthy botanicals), apricot brandy, a solid splash of Beyond Distilling | WA Craft Gin & Spirits gin, house-made orgeat and fresh lemon. Shaken and served over rocks.

It’s savoury, it’s herbaceous and full of fab weekend flavour.

PASTA NIGHT AT BANKSIA! 🍝

Just your friendly neighbourhood reminder that Wednesday is, in fact, the best night of the week.

Every Wednesday, Chef Laura and the Banksia kitchen crew whip up a fabulously fresh pasta for the evening – something completely new each week, revealed via our stories at 1pm every Wednesday.

Is it a bit of a lucky dip? Yes. Is it Busselton’s best pasta? We like to think so!

Famously accompanied by $15 classic Negroni cocktails and $10 glasses of house wines all night.

Supreme South West Soul — live from the Front Bar 🌞

Beerfarm & The Banksia Tavern present BRIGHTSIDER – Sunday 13 September from 3pm.

Margaret River-based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Dan White brings Brightsider to Banksia for a special solo Sunday afternoon set, serving up a stellar mix of indie, soul, RnB and groove.

With more than 20 years across the WA music scene, Dan has toured and recorded internationally, clocking up over 2,000 shows and sharing stages with the likes of Xavier Rudd, The Cat Empire, The Teskey Brothers, San Cisco, Winston Surfshirt and Ash Grunwald.

Brightsider has quickly made its mark, taking out Second Runner Up Grand Prize and Best Regional at WAM’s 2025 Song of the Year Awards with “The Hunger”, alongside a growing run of soulful, groove-heavy releases including “Sidestep” and new single “A Little Bit Of Something”.

For this one, Dan strips things back for an intimate performance in the Banksia Front Bar – soulful vocals, smooth guitars and songs from across his musical life, in a special solo setting.

Two hours of live music from 3pm, with Banksia vinyl DJs spinning classic tracks around the show, icy cold Beerfarm beers, choice cocktails and a fab Sundee arvo in the Front Bar.
