π€ Are you a fan of Vietnamese rolls dishes? Then you should know the difference between spring and summer rolls.
β¨ In the past, Vietnamese usually serve Spring rolls (Cha Gio) in the springtime, hence the name, near the start of the Lunar New Year. Spring rolls are generally made by rolling a thick rice paper with ingredients like pork, glass noodles, carrots, onions, and mushrooms before being deep-fried to a golden brown and crunchy.
β¨ Summer rolls (Goi Cuon) are a stark contrast to the spring roll, it is normally a raw dish. It has a clear skin with fresh, raw vegetables, pork, and shrimp inside. The summer roll is fresher, lighter, and healthier than its deep-fried brother.
π₯ Fried and crunchy, or refresh and light? Whether you belong on team spring or summer roll, give both of these delicious Vietnamese dishes a try!
