1 Carnivorous Passionfruit Seedling (1st Photo)-

It has been naturalized and is harvested as a medicinal in Europe as one of the most popular ingredients in "herbal sleep aids/pills/powders", is a traditional treatment of sleeplessness in Vietnam, and is grown commercially on a small scale, as a food crop in the Cocos Islands, many parts of SE Asia including the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea the Mascarenes most Pacific islands including American Samoa, Western Samoa, Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Tonga and Hawaii, etc etc etc......Its non-acidic and has sweet white/cream coloured flesh, with an almost "Muskstick candy" flavour?

3 Red Foetida Passionfruit Seedlings (2nd Photo)-

I have never seen the red fruited forms of Passiflora foetida for sale commercially in Australia. The red fruit are large, and the shell is quite firm, and the taste is the very lemony. The vine lives very long with some of ours five years old now, still fruiting and flowering constantly. I cut it back with a cane knife every now and then, but apart from that it does its own thing. The leaves remain a lovely furry green and it flowers a lot more than it fruits, despite an abundance of bees. Very productive due to its size, and very hardy.

These Passions wont be avaliable for another long while so get them quick!

The fruit is heart-shaped with a rough green skin and soft fleshy spines. The fresh meaty flesh is juicy and slightly acid producing a rich creamy thirst quenching juice. Superb when fruit is pureed with 1/3 of vanilla icecream. Also known as Graviola or Guanaban. Not suitable for temperate climates.

This is my all time favourite tree ever, regretful sale but need to downsize.
A highly ornamental tree that bears small red berries within its first year. Blossoming and producing all year round, the flowers are white and followed by small red fruit that is sweet with the taste of caramel. The trees are exceptionally attractive with long spreading branches that often droop down to the ground and soft weeping foliage. Trees are very fast growing and drought hardy once established. They can grow 5-10m in ideal conditions but respond well to being cut back so it is possible to keep them smaller than this making it easier to browse on the tempting little fruits. Panama berries will happily grow and fruit in large containers provided they have a good quality mix and a healthy layer of organic mulch to hold the moisture in. It is the ideal backyard tree if you have children as it is a lovely little shade tree as well as producing tempting little sweet treats. Used fresh or in jams.

A very handsome evergreen, reaching a height of 8 - 15 metres and bearing the worlds largest fruit. Fruits can weigh up to 20kg. Strong odour but is deliciously sweet. It can be eaten fresh or dried. This one is even more special as it has vibrant red fruit!

Cardamon ginger is a leafy ginger like plant that grows in clumps and makes an excellent low screen that adds a tropical feel to any garden. While the seeds don't resemble true cardamon the leaves can be used in desserts, to add flavour when steaming rice or used to wrap fish. Leaves are also delicious when infused to make spiced tea's, infuse one cardamon leaf, two sticks of lemon grass and one chopped chilli for a winter warmer.

A cousin of the mangosteen, Achachas are tangy and refreshing with a delicate subtle sweetness, a fine balance between sweetness and acidity, producing an unusual taste sensation. Fruit should be picked mature as it does not ripen further on storage. Originating from the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in South America, the Bolivian name of the fruit is Achachairú and translated means “honey kiss”. Achacha is protected by Plant Breeders Right (PBR) and cannot be grown or propagated without licence agreement with Achacha Fruit Group
