🔨 CHEERS TO THE TRADIES! 🍻

Yesterday was National Tradies Day, and here at the Burpo we reckon the legends on the tools deserve a bloody big THANK YOU! 👏

So we handed out a few Burpo stubbie coolers to some of our local tradies, because after a hard day on the tools, the least we can do is help keep the knock-off cold. 🍺😉

To all the sparkies, chippies, plumbers, builders, mechanics, landscapers and every tradie in between — thanks for putting in the hard yards and keeping Australia running. 🇦🇺

Here’s to the people who actually know which end of the hammer to use. 🔨😂

😂 And just like that… he’s walking out on us!

Last night was our Duty Manager Lleyden’s final shift at The Burpo — and apparently this is the only photo we have of him, so it feels pretty fitting. 😂

We’d like to wish Lleyden all the very best on his next venture. Thanks for everything you’ve brought to the team — it’s been a pleasure having you as part of the Burpo crew.

Good luck with whatever’s waiting on the other side of that walk… don’t be a stranger! 🍻

Things are moving along at The Burpo! 🔨

As part of our ongoing renovations, our beer garden has now officially joined the reno list for the next two weeks. 🍻👷

During this time, please be aware:
• Bistro dining will be limited
• Car parking will be limited
• Entry to the venue will be via the Gaming Room doors only

We’re still open, still pouring cold ones and still serving up all your Burpo favourites! 🍻🍽️

Thanks for bearing with us while we make The Burpo bigger and better. We promise it’ll be worth a little short-term chaos! 💙

Today is R U OK?Day 💛

A cookie. A conversation. A reminder that you matter. 🍪💛

For us here at the Burpo, this day means a little more than just wearing yellow or sharing a post.

Last year, our team experienced the heartbreaking loss of one of our own to su***de. It reminded us just how important it is to check in on the people around us — our mates, our workmates, our family and even the person sitting beside us at the pub.

So today, we’re handing out a few cookies with a little reminder attached.

Because sometimes the smallest gesture can start the most important conversation.

You don’t need to be an expert.
You don’t need to have all the answers.
You just need to care enough to ask — “Are you OK?” — and take the time to really listen.

And don’t save the question for today.
