CHEF / EXPERIENCED COOK | GATHER & FEAST
Full-Time or Casual | Tuesday & Wednesday Off
Gather & Feast is one of Moreton Bay’s leading, award-winning brunch venues, and we’re looking for the next person to join our kitchen team.
If you’re a chef or experienced cook who loves cooking with heart and intention, takes pride in beautifully executed food, and gets just as excited about dialled-in COGS, consistency and a well-run kitchen as you do creating a cracking brunch special, we want to hear from you.
THE ROLE
As our second chef, you’ll work alongside our Kitchen Manager and take responsibility for the daily kitchen operations on her days off.
You’ll be stepping into a kitchen that values accountability, professionalism, growth and consistency.
You’ll be trusted to uphold our standards, contribute ideas and continually look for ways to improve both our food and our guest experience.
And yes, guest experience matters in the kitchen too.
Gather & Feast has an open kitchen and our chefs are part of the atmosphere of the café. Our guests love chatting with the team, and we believe great hospitality isn’t limited to the front counter. Everyone works together and supports different areas of the café when needed.
FOOD + CREATIVITY
You’ll be guided, but given genuine creative autonomy to develop specials, contribute ideas and put your own creativity onto the plate.
We love working with beautiful local and seasonal produce, supporting local growers and suppliers wherever possible, and creating food that feels considered rather than copied.
We want someone who understands that creativity and commerciality can and should exist together.
A great dish needs to taste incredible, look beautiful, be executed consistently and make financial sense.
