Some places have it all; beauty, history, a castle, fine food and wine, fairytale buildings. Kaysersberg in Alsace is one of those places.
We wandered the cobbled streets with our guide Rosalie, past half-timbered houses in every direction, followed the river beneath the old fortified bridge, and looked up to the ruined medieval castle keeping watch over it all. Added a glass or two of Alsace Sylvaner and a plate of choucroute at the award-winning Le Chambard. Now you understand why this village keeps stealing hearts.
Kaysersberg, small enough to fall in love, unforgettable enough to stay with you forever.
