We are very excited to announce the opening of our creative reuse centre, The Bungendore Bower, on the 7th of August, 2026!
The main goal of the Bungendore Bower is to keep as many reusable creative supplies out of landfill, and to offer them to menders, crafters, educators, and artists at an affordable price. Each donated item has the potential to become an artwork, school project, handmade gift, costume, or the perfect piece to mend something broken.
The Bungendore Bower will serve as both a place to take items that you know still have potential, and also somewhere to find treasures to get your creativity flowing.
We have already been generously gifted a variety of reusable items, and are opening our doors to donations from the wider community.
Donations we are currently looking for include:
- Art supplies
- General craft supplies
- Stationery
- Unfinished projects
- Paper and paper craft supplies
- Sewing supplies
- Unwanted art & craft kits
- Kids craft items
We won't be accepting clothes, shoes, books, homewares, DVDs, or linens. We are not looking to take away from the wonderful second hand stores that already service our community. We are focused on saving materials that op shops may find difficult to sort and store, or may have to throw away. We want to build community and conversation around reuse, the importance of creativity, and circular economies.
We will be open for donations on Fridays, between 10am and 2pm, at our shop at 53 Gibraltar Street. We are currently unable to accept donations outside of this time.
