Easts Magpies Sports Club is situated at 21 Eastgate Street, East Bundaberg. We are seeking a “hands on” Manager to take the Club to the next level. This will be a friendly handover as the current manager is looking to step back but after a well earned break would still be available to help and work on less hours than he currently does. Easts Magpies have both Junior and Senior Rugby League with our own Rugby League Training Field next to the club. There is also both Junior and Senior Cricket Clubs with brand new cricket training facilities with lights also adjacent to the club. There are 2 lawn bowls greens, currently not being utilised. The Club has 30 poker machines with room to expand. The club operates a full bar, TAB, keno and trade 6 days per week. There is a fully operational kitchen for lunch and dinners 5 days per week. There is a separate dining area currently not being utilised but was an Asian Restaurant with all facilities still available to reopen with the right staff.
The club has increasing membership on a weekly basis. The club currently hosts live music on a Wednesday and Friday evenings and every second Sunday.
Bundaberg is situated approximately 4 hours from Brisbane on Latitude 25 which is the fourth most temperate climate in the world. It is only 12 kilometres to pristine beaches and plenty of fishing and camping areas within 50 kilometres of Bundaberg. Bundaberg has a population of just over 100,000 and is a thriving community. There is a great selection of private and public schools. The East Bundaberg area is currently going through a massive population boost.
If the successful applicant has good knowledge of MYOB and Finchcorp POS system it would be a distinct advantage. The applicant would also need to have the relevant Liquor/Gaming/Keno & TAB licences. The successful manager would be answerable to the Board of Directors.
Remuneration would be negotiated with the successful applicant.
