To all my globe friends , I write this message to let you all know that our mascot and little buddy Polly ( yes Edith's Polly ) has died , I'm sure everyone is saddened as I am , she has been part of globe for as long as I have !! To Edith and John , nothing can be said to relieve the loss of a beloved pet and "child " but we do feel your loss , RIP Polly !!

Hi to all my "globe friends " , we are going to have a bit of a St Paddys Day bash on this Sunday arvo starting with Raiders Hockey raffles and then on into the evening , wear your green Irish costume , join us for nibbles , green beer and a little bit of "Irish madness", so see you there , cheers gupp's. PS yes I know it's not st Paddys till Monday , so humour me !!

The Globe Hotel will be hosting an Australia Day party on this Sunday , starting at 6 pm . Come celebrate North Bundaberg's courage and resilience one year on. Waterview Distilling Co will also be holding their " unearthed" After Launch party at the Globe that night, there will be a very limited number of their "unearthed Black Edition and merchandise on sale that night , there will also be some taste testing of Waterview spirit during the evening . Live music from Brendon Egan , raffles (autographed , framed Waterview poster one prize) , sausage sizzle and plenty more . Come dressed to celebrate with us north Bundy swampies

Globe Hotel Social Club Christmas Party this Saturday 21st December 2 pm start , raffles ( over 80 prizes ) $5 per ticket only 100 tickets , afternoon brunch , $1 ticket ham and other prize raffles on the day . Rattle and Blow performing from 5 pm , come join the party , help celebrate the start of the end of 2013
