BLUEGRASS, COUNTRY, FOLK… THAT’S AUG-SEPT VIBES!!! 🎻 🤩 🫶🏼

👉🏼 For us here at Oodies, their music is the music of the people. It makes you tap your feet, it can make you cry, it touches you, it makes you go, oh yes, I’ve been there, done that. Music keeps evolving with every generation of new songwriters who sing the stories of their lives, songs of the city, songs of the country, gritty, funny, heart-wrenching stories that we can all relate to on some level if we allow ourselves to. 👈🏼

Right now, out there, travelling the roads in beat-up old camper vans, dodgy buses or cars with baby seats in the back, there are very talented people with things to say.

Why not listen to these people who pour their hearts and souls into their music?

It may not be exactly what you are used to but maybe you owe it to yourself to give it a try. 🫶🏼

FIRST SHOW AT OODIES! 🤩 It’s hard to find a similar duo to Izzy & Dave. Hailing from Noosa in Queensland, Australia, the duo features 12-year-old Izzy’s pitch perfect vocal delivery and her Dad Dave’s experience, intricate guitar playing, vocals, percussion and looping.

They started busking together in 2021 and quickly became a talking point in their home town. Now a regular feature at markets all around the Sunshine Coast and some leading venues, their biggest gig to date was in front of 2000 people for Sunshine Coast’s Curated Plate festival in July 2025.

Their original song ‘Back On The Ground’ (released under ‘Dave Barrie ft Izzy’), produced by the ‘Geronimo’ hit maker Stuart Stuart was released in March 2025 and was followed by a regional QLD tour.

👉🏼 Follow up single ‘Songbird’ will be out in September 2026 with a handful of QLD tour dates to follow. 👈🏼

Aside from a few original songs, you’ll usually find Izzy & Dave belting out hits from the 60s to today from the likes of INXS, Queen, Dire Straits, The Beatles, Ed Sheeran, U2, Coldplay, Creedence, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac and tonnes more.

To the Oodies family,

I’ve been thinking about why your music nights mean so much to me. I realised it isn’t just because of the artists you book. It’s because you’ve created something that’s becoming increasingly rare.

A listening room.

Your one rule says everything:

👉🏼 If you’re talking during a show and someone turns to you and says “Sssh”
Don’t be offended… just shut up! 👈🏼

At first it sounds funny. Then you realise it isn’t about being quiet. It’s about respect.

Respect for the artist.
Respect for the songs.
Respect for everyone that came to listen.

I’ve been lucky enough to see some incredible concerts of the years, in stadiums, festivals, theatres and pubs, but some of my favourite musical memories have been made at Oodies. Not because they’re the biggest shows, but because they’re among the most intimate.

The artists just don’t perform there. They connect. And the audience doesn’t just hear the music. They listen.

As someone who has spent nearly three decades going to concerts, I’ve realised the best venues aren’t always the biggest. They’re the ones that make artists feel heard. Oodies does exactly that.

Thank you for creating a place where songs matter, where listening matters, and where complete strangers can walk into a room and leave feeling they’ve shared something special together.

You’ve built more than a venue. You’ve built a community.

Thank you for making Bundaberg a better place to love live music.

People don’t just come back because of who’s on the stage - they come back because of how it feels to be in the room.
