Grab your coffee from a CafeSmart Cafe today 💛💚

This Friday, 7 August, Bundaberg coffee lovers are being encouraged to make their morning brew count, with four local cafés joining Australia’s CafeSmart campaign to raise funds for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Leading the local effort once again is Alowishus Delicious, with The Journey Laneway and The Coffee Club Bundaberg also coming on board this year to support the cause.

A coffee. A conversation. A community 🏡☕

☕🏡 This Homelessness Week, take a moment to connect through coffee, creativity and conversation. Homelessness Week runs 3rd to 9th August.

This Thursday grab a takeaway coffee from a participating CafeSmart café (find one near you here: https://cafesmart.streetsmartaustralia.org)
Two local favourites taking part are The Journey Alliance and Alowishus Delicious.

Then wander over to the Bundaberg C*D Pavilion between 10 am and 4 pm to join local artist Larissa Dabrowski for Doorways and Origami House-Making.

Larissa will guide you in folding a simple origami house, helping create a symbolic artwork that encourages conversations about homelessness, belonging and the importance of everyone having a safe place to call home. Community support services will also be onsite throughout the day to provide information and assistance.

CAFESMART 2026

This year, The Journey Laneway is joining the Cafesmart movement. On Friday 7th August, we are donating $1 from every coffee sold to grassroots projects in our own community. These projects assist those facing homelessness or are in need of mental health support.

Cafesmart is a nationwide event held each year in August. This is an easy way to give back to your community and do good. Grab your double shot of generosity from a Cafesmart Cafe on Friday the 7th!

And keep an eye out - we’ll be decking the shop in yellow and dressing up on the day with plenty of good vibes and little surprises! 💛💚💛
