Hi All
You may have seen myself or others which you know personally in the news lately or over the past few months.
When these interviews are conducted, a lot of media outlets will use certain information to suit their own agenda, weather its for political gain or its for something else.
This is not what we are about.
Yes I have spoken on behalf of a lot of businesses that have, and are now going to suffer as a result of this Government's decision.
I can't continue to advocate of behalf of every single business that is now facing hardship if your not willing to stand together, sure sell imported fish as Australian, however when the new laws come into effect in July in which you will have to label where the fish has come from, be honest.
Yes, I did warn the State and Federal government early December last year that this would impact a lot of businesses and lead to job losses.
I can not do this alone and commit to this fight.
Boating yards, tackle shops the list goes on, by now we hope you all have put the pieces together.
Its not just about 3 species of fish.
You all need to make the time to send the emails, call people and pressure your local members to take action.
Just take that quick two minutes out of your day and make the call.
Sitting back and thinking 'it will all be ok' well that is your decision.
We are being proactive given the situation at hand.
If you actually want to make a difference then actually make those calls, go and see these people in person.
Weather you are are recreational fisher, consumer or a business that has been affected.
Now is your time to act.
For us
Its business as usual the best we can with a price increase unfortunately beyond our control.
We also have some Spanish mackerel arriving soon π
Pictured some lovely Barramundi we had available last week.
Don't give up, as if you do, you wear the consequences.
