About 9.20am this morning (27 May 2026), WA Police were advised of swimmer, possibly in distress, off the beach near Anchorage Cove and Koombana Drive in Bunbury.

Water Police officers are currently conducting patrols in the area with the assistance of local police, Marine Rescue WA and Surf Life Saving teams.

Anyone who was swimming between 8.30am and 9.30am is urged to contact police on 131 444.

Police are also urging anyone who knows of someone who regularly swims in the area, or who has not returned home after visiting the beach in Bunbury this morning, to contact police on 131 444.
