Thank you all for the love and support we have received over the last couple of weeks. The response to our closure has been overwhelming to say the least.
Being in small business has been such a roller-coaster of emotions and experiences. Dealing with the best and worst of things all in one day. I wouldn't trade this journey for anything. I have learnt so many things, grown as a person and as a chef and made lasting memories.
There were a quite few comments in regards to Bunbury dying.. I agree with these, I'm sure Bunbury isn't the only place like this. Although, It has been sad to watch a "city" die. Each week I walk down the main street and see more and more empty shops. We see budgets from COB stating new developments and tourist attractions, what about revitalising the city centre? Making it a inviting place for people to come to. I live here and dont even want to come into the "city".
COB, the state government, commercial realistates, whoever will listen, need to do something to incentivise small businesses to come back to the city or to stay open.
Thank you all once again for your kind words and support, it has been very touching reading all your comments and talking to everyone that was able to make it in one last time.
Our last night was such a beautiful, humbling experience and I am so appreciative of everyone who took the time to come in.
For now, it's time for me to take a break and reconnect with family, friends and myself.
Cheers guys!
Ash
