Malty, smoky, savoury. This is a dark l***r brewed with Mānuka wood-smoked malt. At first sip you get that sweetness from the malts, the toffees and caramels, but what follows next is phenomenal. Smoke, but not like an ashtray, more like wood-smoked meats, or like luxury furniture that you keep your expensive ci**rs in. Complex, savoury, and evolving this is a tantalising drop.

The malts shine in this dark IPA, bringing carob and caramel indulgence with a roasted barley gritty finish. The hops bring layers of pine, and herbaceous earthiness, and some floral and citrus notes. The modest addition of whiskey-soaked oaked chips add nuance. This b**r is like forest bathing in a pint glass. The name comes from the poem "Solitude" penned by Lewis Carroll and published in 1853.

Raclette is Back! For July and August only, you can book the "Raclette Experience" at Inner North Brewing Co and enjoy a massive 1.5kg wedge of melty cheesy goodness plus all the sides. Suits 4-6 people and takes a couple of hours. For more info, order at the link in bio (or in person) and do winter the right way this year.
