TRUTH TELLING DOCUMENTARY

It has been over a decade since the last SASR combat operation in Afghanistan, and over two years since the disastrous coalition retreat from Kabul. This lost war in Afghanistan has become the SAS’s Vietnam. SAS soldiers, some with as much combat experience as their Anzac forebears from World War I and II, now find themselves fighting on a new battlefield – a war for their legacies. Maligned, scapegoated, and callously discarded by their own leadership, the men of the SASR have suffered in silence until now. With your help, a small group of highly respected SASR veterans will embark on a mission of national importance.

Young Veterans crew have a lot of close friends involved in this incident and cannot believe its 25 years since the accident. Gather around your shipmates today and keep an eye on them. Our shipmates from that day may be gone but they will never be forgotten. Please remember the shipmates we have lost also since that fateful day when it all became too much for them post incident.

On 5 May 1998, a flexible fuel hose in the ship's engine room burst. The spraying fuel ignited when it came into contact with hot machinery, and the first-response extinguishers were unable to cope with the fire's intensity. It took two hours for the fire to be extinguished, and four sailors died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Visiting 88 year old Korean War Veteran Ralph Wollmer who was attacked by some scumbag sh****ad last week and they stole his phone, wallet and jewellery. Helping him out with other veterans groups to make sure he is all good and looked after following his attack. We dropped carepacks to him today.
