Our Matriarch, Tèta Mona ❤️‍🔥
Happy 90th birthday to our grandmother — the most stoic, loving, and nurturing mother figure to family and friends alike!
When you're blessed with her energy, you become encapsulated in her orbit 💫
Alongside our Jido Bechara, she opened her home and her heart to countless families who arrived from our town of Bcharri, helping them find their footing and build a new life here in Australia.
Together they were true community leaders — always the first to welcome, to feed, to guide, and to make sure no one ever felt alone in a new country.
From these wise teachers, we learned our traditions of sharing food with loved ones — a practice of connection, generosity, and preserving our culture of togetherness 🫕✨
Happy birthday, Tèta — thank you for everything you've built and everyone you've touched. 🇱🇧 ❤️

Mona met Bechara 70 yrs ago 💘
She sang to him from her window sill every night at dawn as he stood below and replied with his own song 😘
They eloped against their families wishes as Bechara (our Grandfather) was a poor man and Mona was 2 years older than him at 19 years old 🐆
