The Lomond Hotel

The Lomond Hotel Amazing Live Music, Great Company, Awesome Beer and Yummy Food! Open Every Day Of The Week.
(510)

Built in 1888 as The Albert Hotel, it was one of the grand hotels built in Brunswick during the land boom of the 1880’s. The early patrons were mostly workers from the Butler’s Brickyard up on Albion Street and the hotel continues to be the workers pub. Renamed The Lomond Hotel in the 1930’s, it has been run by The Neagle Family for over 30 years. They’ve brought their country heart to a city pub and it remains one of Melbourne’s last family owned and operated hotels.

This week we are ready to welcome-in July at the Lowie! The kitchen is ready, the fireplace lit, and the wonderful music, trivia and chessboards locked and loaded. Come in and put your feet up!

Tuesday night is, as always, Irish Session night whereby Dan and his talented gang of local musicians gather around the big table to play jigs and reels for you. Nearby the Chess Club players concentrate hard. It's become a favourite night each week. From 8pm Free

Thursday night is monthly Goodtime Trivia Night helmed by none other than Mr Goodtime. We can't reveal his true identity but thanks Harry! Bring your knowledge in and have lots of fun! 7pm

On Friday night we welcome Rhiz & Pete and the Taggin' Along band. Blending acoustic guitars and tight-knit vocal harmonies, Rhiannon McArthur (Rhiz) and Pete Daffy channel the grit and soul of traditional roots music. The duo’s signature sound is elevated by the world-class backing of The Taggin’ Along Band. By seamlessly weaving this original songwriting with classic duets from the 1950/60s, they offer an unforgettable show that is a must-see for fans of soulful vintage country. 9pm $20

On Saturday afternoon we present Dan Dinnen - Music and Shorty who will dish up a bluesy gumbo of rootsy goodness featuring original tunes laid down with hypnotic fingerpicking guitar, peppered with tasty blues harp, wrapped up and driven along by lush drums ‘n’ percussion. With a pulsing, swinging juke-joint groove, it’s a little bit delta swamp, a little bit hill country, a lot its own unique flavour! 5pm $15

Finally on Sunday we present imitable Lowie favourites Moreland City Soul R***e for the next installment of their wildly successful Sunday residency. Every MCSR gig is an event which gets the crowd involved thanks to Slatty D's epic vocals upfront and a stellar band.
See you on Sunday arvo! 5pm $20
