Congratulations to Steve Anderson, the inaugural Cherabin Cup champion!

After a fantastic month of competition, with more than 80 players teeing off every Wednesday in the Men’s Scroungers, Steve emerged as a deserving winner.

A huge thank you to Easy Electrical for sponsoring the event with a $200 cash prize, and to PK for supplying the delicious cherabin each week and creating such a successful new competition.

Thanks to everyone who took part—we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Avoid the crowds and take in this month's Staircase with cold drinks and the best views overlooking Roebuck Bay.

Today we are throwing back to 2019

These photos were taken at our Broome Open, which saw more than 100 competitors compete in the two-day tournament.

After 36 holes of golf the overall winner was Phil Marrs on 75 points, second place was Paul Hope on 73 points and third place went to Clinton Kimber with 72 points.

For the ladies it was Ruth Dray’s time to shine finishing with 70 points, while Colleen Duff finished second on 64 and third on a countback was Judy Chappell with 64 points.

Our course will be closed to the public until 1.30pm this Saturday and Sunday due to our Club Championships. We would love to welcome you for a round from 1.30pm onwards.

We will also have M & J's Pizza Base serving their delicious pizzas from 12pm onwards on Sunday.

The Broome Golf Club Men’s Scroungers competition continues to go from strength to strength, with more than 80 golfers teeing it up each Wednesday to enjoy a fantastic day of golf, great company and plenty of laughs back in the clubhouse.

This month has also seen a terrific new initiative introduced by club member Paul ‘PK’ Kennedy. Throughout July, players have been competing in a month-long Stableford challenge, with each golfer’s best four Stableford rounds contributing to their overall total.

This Wednesday marks the final round of the competition, with players looking to improve their score and climb the leaderboard in what promises to be an exciting finish. Best of luck to everyone still in contention, and a big thank you to PK for introducing another enjoyable format that has added plenty of interest and friendly rivalry to our Wednesday Scroungers competition.
