I did a little test run of these on Sunday & they were soooo tasty!

A little dried locally grown Lemon Myrtle & a not too short Biscuit! Rolled in a little sugar whilst still warm!

Brookvale has its own cadence & it builds slowly in the mornings. As you know the lights go on at Luscious at around 3 to 3:30 every day & as the day wears on & the people arrive, the crescendo builds!

Roller doors & gates. Garbage trucks & blaring radios. Cars & motorbikes. Forklifts & delivery trucks. Stops for coffee & walking the dog. Bird calls & echoes. Greetings & salutations. And it all kind of blends into one.

Sometimes its a little too much when you throw in the mixers & the oven. And then it tapers off as people go about their day. Its not quiet, but it is easier. It becomes more background noise. And that's the beauty of Brookvale.

The Blood Orange & Almond Italian Olive Oil Cake was such a hit yesterday...there's another just baked today!

The recipe I pucked up in a little Umbrian town when I was touring for my Fortieth Birthday (seems like forever ago) & it really does not look like much, but with good quality Olive Oil - the taste belies its pesant appearance!
