WE’RE HIRING – CASUAL CHEF / COOK / ALL-ROUNDER

Brookstead, Queensland

Wild Child Catering is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable Casual Chef / Cook / All-Rounder to join our growing team.

We work across a variety of kitchens and with a wide range of clients, so the right candidate must be able to adapt positively to different environments while maintaining a high standard of food quality and professionalism.

Our work includes:
• Grazing tables and platters
• Small private events
• Buffet catering
• Bowls Club meal services
• Themed catering
• A wide variety of cuisines and service styles

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience
• Holds a current Food Safety Certificate
• Has a current Police Check
• Has reliable transport
• Is available for weekends and occasional evenings
• Is willing to learn and work across different styles of cuisine
• Takes pride in producing quality food and working as part of a team

This is a casual position with flexible hours as bookings require, offering the opportunity to work across a diverse range of catering events.

Hello, Spring! 🌾

After taking a much-needed break throughout July and August, Wild Child Catering is back and ready to kick off a fresh season of home-cooked goodness.

Orders are now open for harvest meals from $15, along with chunky cookies, homemade slices and simple cakes with simple frosting.

To keep everything manageable while balancing the pub, the boys and Wild Child, I’m still limiting larger functions to one per month.

October, January and February are already

booked for functions, so please get in early for any other dates you have in mind.

AI is pretty magical for the time it saves, but sometimes there are no fancy tricks needed—just a classic food shot and a camera (new phone though 😉). 📸❤️

Today’s function was for a very special lady’s 60th birthday. We were honoured to provide a full-service grazing table, charcuterie spread, dessert platter and hot food service for family and friends to enjoy.

There’s something pretty special about gathering around good food, sharing a laugh and celebrating life’s milestones with the people who matter most.
